Should I move from Atlanta, GA to TEXAS?

I’m 23, Long Island NY born, Baltimore, MD bred and I’ve beein in Atlanta since high school and it’s getting old! I’m scared to move because there are a lot of companies here….Should I move to Houston, Texas or Dallas Texas? Are there an ample amt of jobs in these places? I’m African American and I need a city! I dnt do well in rural areas! HELP! =)

lot’s of work for literate humans of any race in Dallas area, but you should look at Houston, San Antonio, Galvaston, and Fort Worth as well. Texas is a dynamic state with a wonderfully diverse cultural and social environment. Go for it!

Texas is awesome! (Not so much the rural areas, but I have lived in Houston, San Antonio and Austin and I love all three cities!) Just as an FYI, Houstonians and Dallasites (had to look it up) each think that their city is the best. Dallas is very business oriented, and has the reputation of being stuck up. Houston is centered around oil and gas and has a reputation of being dirty. I think Houston is way better than Dallas, but I am biased because I grew up in Houston. Fort Worth (near Dallas) is also a cool city. I think it would be easier to get a job in Houston, I have a few friends that are struggling to find a job in the Dallas area. Good luck with a job search in this economy!
